2008 Chardonnay

A complex wine with texture, mouth-feel and minerality, and flavours of quince, honey, beeswax, peach stones and fresh bread.

Top quality grapes allow techniques such as slow fermentation and ageing on yeast lees which create complexity, whilst retaining the overall impact of the fruit flavour.

This wine can be enjoyed by itself or as an aperitif.  It will go particularly well with heavier, cheesier dishes and is a good white wine option for meals traditionally matched with red wine.

2006 Barbera

The beautiful garnet red of this Barbera introduces the drinker to a vibrant and complex wine.  It is a medium weight wine with good, dark colour and is bursting with flavour.

Combining savoury characters reminiscent of freshly cut hay with red cherries and plums, makes this wine a true partner to a wide range of food. Displaying ripe berry fruit such as boysenberries and savoury flavours of aromatic tobacco and a satisfying earthiness - expect delicious velvety tannins.

This well-known Italian variety is very rare in Australia and we make it to reflect its true varietal characters.

2010 Pinot Gris

Having made Pinot Gris many times before in different parts of the world, this is the first under my own label.

2007 Cabernet Sauvignon

The Umbrella Man Cabernet vineyard, on the edge of the Pyrenees mountain range, is perfectly suited to this noble grape variety.  Selected rows and handpicking give the best quality grapes, enabling the use of diverse winemaking techniques to achieve intensity, complexity and subtle tannins.

Expect fruit characters of cherries, blackberries and blackcurrants, with secondary flavours of spice, tea and leather.

A nice red wine to drink by itself, but is also a good partner to spicy Asian or Middle Eastern food.
