2007 Chardonnay
A complex wine with texture, mouthfeel & a certain minerality. Techniques such as slow fermentation & ageing on yeast lees, create complexity while retaining the overall impact of the fruit flavour. The wine can be drunk by itself or as an aperitif. It will also go particularly well with heavier, cheesier dishes & is a good white wine option for meals traditionally matched with red wine. $26
“Rated 91” – James Halliday’s Wine Companion 2009 Edition
“Michael Unwin’s Acrobat range offers all-round good value, the chardonnay in particular. This is such a pretty wine: clean citrus fruit dominating, with lively acidity.”
Jeni Port, “The Age”, 13 October 2007.
